I'm not one to rant (prepare for a little rant) but lately on my radar and in my social feeds are all kinds of free instructional webinars with titles like Creating Financial Freedom, How to Let Go, Finding and Living a Life of Passion, or How to Turn Up the Volume of Your Inner Voice. You listen for an hour as an expert hints at what they know and why it works and then they pitch you their online course that sells for a few hundred dollars. I don't dispute that many of these experts have valuable insight to share. What I do not understand is why all the thought leaders providing these webinars think that a typical sales funnel is the best way to attract clients who are operating from a higher level of consciousness.
Sure, a sales funnel might have a track record of appealing to the masses but I for one start to get a feeling of disgust or distress as soon as I recognize that I'm in the funnel. Quite often these funnels are the way my own friends and colleagues are marketing so I stay online and I listen because I know they have great messages. What I have a challenge with is actually hearing the message because of the way it's being delivered.
What I know for sure is that when I trust your expertise and know I am going to get my money's worth I will gladly sign up for what you are offering. So here's my promise to myself and my peers in the industry,
